Alex is a visual storyteller with a passion for bringing creative ways to envisage social and systemic change. With extensive experience in project management and communication roles in the non-profit development sector, Alex went on to developed skills in graphic recording and visual storytelling which she recognises as a fundamental tool for sense-making, reflection and knowledge sharing within community building and systems work. Alex's Visual work is inspired by the work of Kelvy Bird & her work on Generative Scribing.
Alex has worked with different community groups and international organizations and has lived and worked globally, gaining a unique cross-cultural perspective. She has a bachelors degree in Comparative Media from Leeds University, UK and an MA in Peace & Conflict Resolution from Tokyo, Japan, and is a Rotary Peace Fellow (Class15),
Alex's passion for finding creative ways to learn and exchange knowledge has led her to graphic recording for conferences and events, helping participants retain information, spark ideas and reflect on complex topics. In her graphic recording practice, Alex captures the essence of the conversation to facilitate transformative, collaborative dialogue.
